A very special artist’s book. Smart Set goes to London (sort of …)
We’ve been honored to collaborate with a very special artist, Vesna Kittelson, on a number of her artist’s books. Her most recent project, DaVinci and the Drone, is a limited edition artist’s book that has been acquired by libraries at Tate Britain in London, Yale University in New Haven, CT and Brooklyn Museum, NYC.
A perfect place for artists AND books
We assisted Vesna with scanning, color correcting and proofing her original images, selecting appropriate paper stocks, and digital printing the final, limited edition set of 10 books. While all our work certainly doesn’t end up in major museum collections, we treat every project as a unique, custom work of art. Vesna worked closely with our senior designer, Natalie Mazorol, who is also credited in the colophon.
Vesna sent us this note:
Here are the images: dropping off my and your DA VINCI and the DRONE, artist book, 2016, in front of the Tate and having tea with the Tate’s Library Manager. They have 6 of my artist books in the Tate Library. The DA VINCI is also in the Brooklyn Museum, NYC, and the Yale Art Library. Thank you for helping me.
