Collaboration: Mike Hazard, Seeds of Change
We were honored to collaborate with Mike Hazard, filmmaker and photographer extraordinaire, and graphic designer Mark Odegard, on the production of Mike’s new book, Seeds of Change, documenting the Hmong American Farmer’s Association farm in Vermillion Township. Media Mike’s project culminates in a show at the Minnesota Museum of American Art’s Project Space, opening May 12 and running through July 31. More info on the show, titled Seeds of Change, here.
The accompanying book for the exhibition was run on Cougar uncoated, 80 lb. cover for the guts and 130 lb. for the covers, printed on the Xerox Versant 2100, and wiro bound and shrink wrapped, all in-house here at Smart Set.
Mike was kind enough to come in and shoot some great photos while working with our staff, highlighting one of our artists/technicians Natalie Mazorol. As digital craft printers, having staff who come from an art background helps us realize client’s like Mike’s vision while keeping a keen eye on quality and production methods.
Check out some of the great photos, thanks Mike! (Photos © 2016, courtesy Mike Hazard.)
